Optimizing Volume and Surface Area

Today we looked at how we can combine volume and surface area problems, where we can use technology to help us optimize.

Key ideas from today:
1. Surface area and volume equations can be rearranged and combined to form an equation that has only two variables.

2. Using technology, we can find a minimum or maximum coordinate that tells us how to optimize the shape

3. We can find the other dimensions by using the equations for volume and surface area
